 Simply Spooky

http://www.redroosterfabrics.com/content5748.html

by Amy Barickman This cute 44" x 44" Halloween wall hanging was made by Pearl P. Pereira of p3 Designs. The black cat, bat, and pumpkin blocks in the center finish at 11", while the pumpkin and bat blocks in the borders finish at 6". The bat appliqué pattern provided for machine appliqué is sized at 100%. Remember to add at least a 1/8" seam allowance if you prefer to hand appliqué the bats, as Pearl does. Simply Spooky is embellished with orange buttons for the cat's eyes, and dimensional bow ties which are sewn on with a double stack of buttons. You could easily adapt the 11" cat blocks to placemats by adding a border strip on each side of the block. Or, make a table topper to fit any table by simply adding another inner border or an outer border, as needed. For placemats or a table topper, try 7/8" orange grosgrain ribbon in place of the dimensional bow ties. Check out Amy’s website at www.indygojunction.com to see her Jack ’O Lantern pattern, Happy Jack, and her site at www.thevintageworkshop.com for CD-ROMs with artwork you can print on fabric or paper.
